What Data Do We Process and Why

The fotoduel.eu website works on the principle of storing information about its users that the users input themselves. This information is necessary so that a user profile can be created. Every user provides the fotoduel.eu website with two types of data, quite voluntarily and on a contractual basis. Data relating to a person and data relating to a user.

1) Data Relating to a Person

This is data that concerns the personal or material relations of a user (e.g. Christian name and surname, e-mail address, other information about a user). An e-mail address is non-public. The other users do not see it. Other data provided by a user (name or other information about a user) is publicly available to search systems and internet users. Personal data (first name, surname, e-mail address, etc.) are stored on a secure server. Such personal data are not provided to third parties and are protected from unauthorised third-party access. At the written request (sent to the e-mail address info(at)fotoduel.cz) of any user we provide all information processed about the relevant user. Such personal data can be deleted from the database following a written request (sent to the e-mail address info(at)fotoduel.cz) by a customer. The personal data controller can then not process the data any more.

2) User Data

Backing up of user data is necessary for the correct use of the fotoduel.eu web portal. User information includes access data (IP address, page viewed), which is saved as soon as a user visits the web portal. Such data remain anonymous and are assessed purely for statistical purposes. These statistics serve to improve services. The data are not handed over to a third party for commercial or non-commercial purposes. User data are stored for a period of six months.

Handover of Personal Data to Third Parties

We process your data using Active24, whose processing consists of the storage of data on a secure server. We have concluded a contract on personal data processing with this contractor that provides sufficient protection for your personal data.
So that we can measure the way in which users use our website, we make use of another service provider. It is: Google—Google Analytics with the help of a measuring code.

Cookies

For the provision of certain services (e.g. auto-login) the fotoduel.eu website uses cookies. Storing cookies does not lead to personal identification. A user can prohibit the storage of cookies in his/her internet browser. This, however, leads to limited and incorrect functioning of the fotoduel.eu website.
